UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI MODEL PREDICT OBSERVE EXPLAIN (POE) PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA

Abstract

The background of this study is the low learning outcomes of mathematics in mathematics learning at SD Negeri Bonang. The low learning outcomes are seen from the students' initial data on mathematics, which is that many students are still under the KKM. In this case the teacher strives for students to learn mathematics using the Predict Observe Explain learning model. Thus, students are able to find their own ways to solve problems in mathematics. The research method used is Classroom   Action   Research.   This   research   was   conducted   in   two   cycles consisting of several actions that discussed mathematics material in the fourth grade  of  elementary  school.  Based  on  the  results  of  the  study  using  Predict Observe Explain, the learning outcomes increase. This can be seen in the test given by the researcher to all students in class IV of Bonang Elementary School, namely there is an increase in the average value of the initial data learning outcomes 68.9, first cycle of action I 67.9, cycle I action 2 average 70.8 cycle 2 action1 average value of 71.9 and cycle II of action II with an average value of 77.9. Interaction between students and students and students with teachers is more conducive, the results of student learning outcomes each action during the study progressed increased

Latarbelakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika pada pembelajaran matematika di SD negeri Bonang. Rendahnya hasil belajar tersebut dilihat dari data awal siswa pada pelajaran matematika, yaitu banyak siswa yang masih dibawah KKM. Dalam hal ini guru mengupayakan agar siswa dalam belajar matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain. Dengan demikian, siswa mampu menemukan caranya sendiri untuk memecahkan masalah dalam pelajaran matemtika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian  Tindakan  Kelas.  Penelitian  ini  dilaksanakan  dalam  dua  siklus  yang terdiri dari beberapa tindakan yang membahas materi matematika pada kelas IV sekolah   Dasar.   Berdasarkan   hasil   penelitian   dengan   menggunakan   Predict Observe  Explain, maka  Hasil  belajar meningkat.  Hal  ini  terlihat pada  tes  yang diberikan peneliti kepada seliuruh siswa dikelas IV Sekolah Dasar Bonang yaitu terdapat peningkatan dari rata-rata nilai Hasil belajar data awal 68.9, siklus I tindakan I 67,9, siklus I tindakan 2 rata –rata 70,8 siklus 2 tindakan1 rata-rata nilai 71,9 dan siklus II tindakan II dengan rata-rata nilai  77,9. Interaksi siswa dengan siswa maupun siswa dengan guru lebih kondusif, hasil Hasil belajar siswa tiap tindakan selama penelitian berlangsung mengalami peningkatan.
