Abstract

The tourism potential of the city of Palu encourages regional governments to make long-term plans, especially the development of tourism potential with three segments along the bay of Palu. However, natural disasters that are difficult to predict by experts occur in Palu, Donggala and Parigi. The disaster that occurred on September 28 2018 took place at the same time as three disasters, namely: earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction. After the earthquake
7.4 SR of the city of Palu experienced a very drastic economic downturn and smoothed the total trend of urban tourism development, including along the Palu bay. This article will discuss the opportunities and challenges of reconstruction of tourism development in Palu City to become an international tourist destination.
